Do you agree that formula 1 races are a bit too long to watch? Marble races are just much more full of action! Congratulations Crazy Cat's Eye!

Thanks Jelle for building yet another great sandy racetrack!

Is it possible to add a feed of your latest toots to a website? If yes, how? Thanks in advance!

Hi Fediverse!

One of the features I'm really missing here is to 'favourite' an account, as in, to make sure you don't miss any of their toots.

Maybe to get a notification of each of their toots, or to let them appear above all other toots in your timeline. Is something like this possible? I am aware of the option to make lists, but then I will still miss their toots if I don't click on the lists.

"In a kitchen at the Rotterdam School of Management, a dozen students are huddled around a stove, learning to cook imaginative vegetarian meals. They use produce from local organic farms as a way to reduce their consumption of wasteful takeaways."

Business schools shift to a more sustainable future.

Sounds good 🙂

University of Twente artists! You can now convince the arts & games associaton Apollo that you can paint something beautiful. If you do, you get paint and brushes at the Apollo room in the Bastille and you can claim a spot on this wall :-)

Zou dit ook een gevolg zijn van het leenstelsel? Hoeveel studenten met een torenhoge lening gaan dit toch even be jij? Zou ik als student cam model ook over privacy mogen filosoferen voor geld? Vragen...

Wow! Have you ever heard of Turkmenistan? Have you ever heard of John Oliver? Yes? No? Doesn't matter.

Please watch this video. It is funny, interesting, political, entertaining, educating, and just amazing!

I'm not so sure we Dutch folks should be proud about our appartement role in getting Stuxnet inside the Natanz facility in Iran. Thoughts from the fediverse?

To me, this is a fascinating essay. It provides insight why I put so much value in beloging to communities. The University of Twente community, the KIVI Engineering Society community, my 10-people student house, the fediverse community (you), the dataviz community (Data Visualisation Society), the Dutch Mud Men OCR community and so on.

It also gives me insight in why I've changed so much since high school. Back then, I just didn't find the right communities for me!

We are, a lot of us, a great deal sadder, more anxious, more incomplete and more restless than we really need to be because of something very large that is missing from our lives. What’s worse, we don’t even know what this thing is and how much we crave it, because we don’t have the right concepts, experience or encouragement to help us locate it. What we long for and are slowly dying without is: community.

Hi there!

I'd like to get to know you a little better :)

1) Which book are you currently reading?
2) What is the last book you have finished?
3) If you could recommend the fediverse to read one single book for next month, which one would it be?

Datavizzers unite! There is a competition by the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, to support the climate strike movement.

iNaturalist has an app which you can use to scan any animal or plant with your phone. It is called Seek and I honestly think it's amazing! While scanning, or after you've made a picture, it will try to determine the species. You can also send your pictures to the iNaturalist community to help wildlife conservation or let others try to determine your animal / plants species.

It's Pokémon Go, but then the real deal! You look for flora and fauna!
